Ain't no junk in dem cells of yours - An' dat's final, Sir!

Now they're saying there's no junk DNA

Does Nature create "Junk"? Educated people think so. But I find they have to correct their arrogance all the time.

The most recent - in fact, to me, just one day old - example of what they hyped as "Junk DNA" is a good illustration.

They've just found out that there's no such thing.

When you've heard this clip, approximately five minute duration, you can tell others, "You got it straight from the horse's mouth"

These errors - from non-WASP WMDs* to Junk DNA - to me illustrate a point that the late R. Buckminster Fuller made in the chapter "Mistake Mystique" in his hard-to-find-anywhere book, Inutition. Here it is partially extracted:

["...Chagrin and mortification caused by their progressively self-discovered quadrillions of errors would long ago have given humanity such an inferiority comples that it would have become too discouraged to continue with life experience.

To avoid such proclivity humans were designedly given pride, vanity and inventive memory, which, all together, can and usually do incline us to self-deception...."]

By the way, in this BBC World Service, '07 June 15 aired, <Science in Action> program clip, the scientist also puts-paid to the 'quick-fix' of 'nailing' a gene, or a gene-bunch, to specific diseases. This nonsense helped make a lot of money for "research" - AND selling patented drugs at a price that'd put the snail-oil salesman to shame. The list of such "magic bullets" that were later shown to have incurable side-effects and fatal toxicity is as long as a yellow-pages phone directory.

For anyone who cares, there's the old Aldous Huxley book in which the brother of the brilliant scientist, Julian Huxley says,

["What doesn't have a single cause, cannot have a single cure."]

And it is helpful, before running out to get the next "quick fix" the pharma MNCs - and their white-coated peddlars we generally call "doctors" - tempt us with, to remember that

A healthy human baby is put together with such exquisite design that, barring a major accident, there can be no SINGLE cause that can 'disease' it.

All you need to do is follow the operating manual for this wondrous biological machine:

Eat right
Sleep well
Work hard
Be patient with others as well as yourself
Do a fair bit of loving, dancing and singing - especially with kids
Don't create shit around you.
above all, Make sure not to bug Mother Gaiya.

Finally, learn to be very humbly grateful for every breath you take.

It'd be a mistake to take it for granted, you know.

*WMD's = Weapons of Mass Destruction that George Bush and Tony Blair went looking for in Iraq. The WMDs that the "White" man has do not count, of course.
